Preschool
Curriculum & Schedule
At DIA, we believe that every second is an opportunity for every student to learn something new. In our preschool program, we foster a setting that allows children to learn through play!
Curriculum
The Utah Early Childhood Core Standards are taught in both Spanish and English through the application of DIA’s 90:10 language immersion model. Students develop core concepts in Spanish while also practicing English language skills. DIA’s preschool curriculum consists of six basic content areas:
- Language Arts
- Mathematical Literacy
- Approaches to Learning and Science
- Social-Emotional & Social Studies
- Creative Arts
- Physical Health & Safety
Weekly participation in art, music, and physical education programs offers students continuous skill development through participation in intentional, developmentally appropriate activities.
This guided learning is supported through two research-based curriculums. Read more information below:

Curriculum
We are dedicated to providing a safe space for youth to attend afterschool so that they can continue to grow in a rigorous, supportive and nurturing environment while also supporting parents & guardians as they work to provide for their family. We believe that by providing out of the box academic engagement opportunities & opportunities to practice healthy social skills we impact our students lives and continue to prepare them to become Spanish-English bilingual, bi-literate, and bicultural so that they can become healthy, motivated, proactive, and engaged adults.!
